Our House matcha has a natural malty sweetness with lots of umami and flavors of creamy edamame, toasted sesame and golden chestnuts. It is a rare hand-harvested, single-cultivar Yabukita matcha that has been grown and ground on a single-estate small farm in the pristine Yame region of Kyushu Island in southern Japan.
Excellent for drinking ceremonially or as a matcha latte. Can also be used for baking.
Using a bamboo chasen whisk is ideal for making a smooth, clump-free matcha and forming a frothy texture.
1tsp (2 grams) | 4oz water | 176°F
Approximately 15-20 servings per bag.
Store airtight in a cool, dark location. Use within 3-4 weeks after opening for peak freshness. Can be kept up to one year in a refrigerator.
The package is so small for the price
:( Was disappointed in the size and the packaging not being in a tin.
High quality, delicious Matcha!!!
Great service & excellent favor!
The aftertaste mild with just enough of that umami sweetness. Very smooth and not bitter at all. I enjoy drinking it without adding any juices or latte. It has a very satisfying finish.
I loved Matchalo's matcha. I wasn't sure what to expect, but trust me folks, this matcha is no ordinary matcha. The fine, veridian powder, the invigorating taste, the rich culinary tradition- it screams umami. I was sold from the first sip. Thank you so much, Matchalo! -Serena B.
